About me
Hi, my name is Kat and I’m an illustrator, writer and adventurer based in the heart of the Bavarian Alps in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
While hiking and travelling I document places through sketches, maps and illustrations. My sketchbook is a permanent part of my backpack, and most of my ideas start somewhere on a mountain trail.
My work combines traditional and digital techniques, from watercolour and linocut printing to iPad illustration and embroidered textiles. Whether I’m illustrating a remote hiking trail, a mountain hut or a specialty coffee shop, I’m always looking for the details that make a place unique.
I believe the best stories are found outdoors.
